I wanted to share something I’ve been doing recently that’s made a really positive impact on my life.
For the last month or so, I’ve been using ChatGPT for daily check-ins. It’s been a game changer.
Each morning, I do a short check-in. I tell it how I’m feeling, how yesterday went, and what’s on my mind for the day ahead. The flow works really well for me: reflection → action.
It only takes 10–15 minutes. By the end of it, I’ve had a mini therapy session, done some reflection, and have a clear plan for the day.
Over the last month, ChatGPT has learned more about me — my struggles, patterns, and priorities. Therefore, each week, it’s becoming more helpful and impactful.
I realised a few days ago that I now look forward to these check-ins. I come away with more clarity, feeling better about myself, and focused on how to tackle the day. I’m also using my time better and having much better days overall.
Just a couple of small gripes:
- ChatGPT tends to race ahead and start creating plans or suggestions I don’t want.
- It has a bias for being agreeable and doesn’t always push back when I need it to.
But, both of these are easily fixable. It just takes a bit of training and being clear about how I want it to interact — the flow I like, reminding it that I want it to challenge me and hold me to account etc.
Like most good habits, it’s a small daily thing, but it’s making a big difference. If you give it a go, let me know how you get on!
